It deserves to be supported - because what is at stake goes far beyond a pedagogical quarrel.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember525\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">For years, a creeping ideology has been undermining vocational training. Good students\u00ab are pushed towards secondary school as if intelligence could only be academic, while apprenticeships are treated as a relegation route. But the facts are stark: <strong>cantons that overrate gymnasiums also have higher youth unemployment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember526\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">We've seen this scenario elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember527\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">In France, decades of contempt for technical subjects have produced cohorts of overqualified graduates... and <strong>underemployed<\/strong>. The result is masters degrees that end up at <strong>pushing trolleys at IKEA<\/strong>, There is no real market for them.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ember528\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__heading-3\">Switzerland is moving in the same direction.<\/h3>\n<p id=\"ember529\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The number of <strong>socialising\u201c training courses\u201d<\/strong> - psychology, humanitarian law out of touch with reality, ideologised social sciences - while companies are struggling to recruit new recruits. <strong>technicians, mechanics, automation engineers, electricians, IT specialists<\/strong>. All too often, university has become a <strong>a den of internationalist do-gooders<\/strong>, They are more concerned with producing discourse than value.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember530\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Dual training creates skills, autonomy and dignity. It anchors young people in the real world, in the productive economy, in society. It is one of the <strong>pillars of Swiss success<\/strong> - and precisely for this reason, it upsets certain ideologues.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember531\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Rehabilitating apprenticeships is not a step backwards.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember532\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">It's an act of <strong>lucidity and sovereignty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ember533\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__heading-3\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p id=\"ember534\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Destroying apprenticeships means producing unemployed graduates.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember535\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">To defend it, as Nicolas Kolly does, is to defend the Switzerland that produces, that trains and that stands on its own two feet.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember536\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">True modernity is not to be found in ideological lecture halls.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember537\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">It's in the workshops, the companies and the know-how passed on.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ember539\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__heading-3\">\ud83c\udde8\ud83c\udded Without funding, there can be no resistance.
